Peter McCarthy, President and CEO, BMO Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Walsh as Senior Vice-President and Head of Individual Insurance & Annuities.
 

Daniel will be accountable for overseeing the company’s strategy for Individual Life Insurance, Segregated Funds and Annuity lines of business. In this role, he will lead our Product Management, Contracting & Compensation and Business Development teams.

“With over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Daniel has clearly demonstrated that he is a proven leader and strong strategic thinker who delivers exceptional results,” McCarthy said.  

Daniel joined BMO Insurance in 2007 as Regional Vice-President, Quebec & Atlantic. In 2016, his role was expanded when he was appointed to Vice-President, Business Development responsible for sales across Canada. McCarthy added, “Under his leadership, we have developed an outstanding team of sales professionals, strengthened relationships with our distribution partners and successfully grown our business.”

Daniel holds a B.Sc., Actuarial Science from Laval University, is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of CALU.
