Paramed Orders

When Covid-19 shut down our ability to order paramedical visits, a backlog was created.  The carriers' underwriter will decide if a tele-interview meets the need, or if the underwriter will order a paramed visit (please note that parameds cannot be rushed).

These special circumstances may be the new normal for the long term. When the underwriter decides a tele-interview is better for the case, it prevents the client from experiencing a delay in the nurse visit. It is important to indicate in the special instructions on the e-Application when the client requires a language preference other than English for the nurse’s visit.

N.B.: Remember if requesting a nurse or interview with special language skills, the advisor is encouraged to complete the carrier-specific Language Declaration.
